Obviously I can't tell you everything. We have our secrets, and many of our actions take place...under the table, as it were.

As I said before, our mission is to guard our chosen home, whether a threat appears from without or within. There are plenty of problems within Aquilonia, many of which we can impact simply by applying influence (or pressure) to the appropriate people within the bureaucracy. On the other hand, some things take force, including defending our little settlement here against certain factions who take issue with our operations. There's a reason we are predominately a military group, and we do not hesitate to take the field when the need arises.

Yes, we have plenty of supporters and members who are not regular soldiers. Our community hosts crafters and artisans of various types, who provide the things and services we need to continue our mission. We also have several who are from more...prominent...backgrounds. They govern the day-to-day business of life here, and can act as our representatives in the nobles' courts, as well as providing useful inside knowledge and contacts. Some of them come to request our services in a specific matter, and depending on what it is, we may agree in return for them returning the favor.

All this allows the rest of us to focus on keeping our skills honed and our eyes and minds on the overall goal, and plan our next steps accordingly. We have eyes and ears throughout Hyboria, not just Aquilonia. Thus we stand like the ever-present watch on a city gate, the eternal guard defending our home.
