GENERAL

  • We expect members to be mature gamers, both in and out of game - this means we have very little tolerance for any (ooc) insults, flames, trolls, or other personal attacks. Everyone in the guild is a representative of the guild, and should consider how their words and actions will reflect on the guild reputation before speaking.
  • All members are strongly encouraged to be active on the forums. They are the main communication avenue for the community, and are the place where decisions and announcements are made. Reading the forums will keep you up to date on what we're doing, and participating in discussions is the way to share your thoughts and opinions.
  • Members are expected to be positive contributors to the guild, and in order to facilitate this we encourage everyone to focus on a single main character before creating alternates. While it's not a requirement, it is generally frowned upon to have a slew of low level characters before having one that can participate in most of the high level or end-game content with the rest of the guild.
  • This a rule, not a guideline: anyone found to be using (or knowingly grouped with someone who is using) or helping someone perform game exploits, hacks (including illegal 3rd party programs), etc that would be in violation of every game's terms of agreement/EULA will be removed from the guild. Period.

ROLE-PLAYING

  • Another rule, not guideline: as a role-playing guild, we require all members to remain in-character at all times in all public/spatial chat channels (/say, /shout, etc). Out-of-character (ooc) chat is permitted in most other available channels (/guild, etc) - however this will vary from game to game, and will be specified in a stickied post on the forum for that game.
  • We expect character names to reflect the setting of the game world. Obvious unacceptable things include using numbers, symbols, references to "real world" figures, or a play on words.
  • For further information and tips on role-playing, please view the relevant stickied threads on our Community Announcement board.

COMBAT

  • All members are expected to participate in any situation where guild assets are at risk, or guild members are being harassed. This includes PvP city sieges, protecting things like resource nodes, or hunting down griefers. Basically, if a call to arms happens while you are in-game, you are expected to be there. Every person counts in a fight. (The obvious exception to this is new members/players who do not have a character of the needed level/skill to compete)
  • In any combat situation (PvP, group instance, or dungeon raid), voice communication chat is to be clear of chatter. The only person/people speaking should be the individual group leaders and overall battle commander.
  • Members are expected to follow the commands of the group and battle leaders without question. Group members follow the group leader, group leaders follow the orders of the battle leader, and the battle leader...well, they had better not screw up. If you have questions, comments, or complaints about the orders given, save them for after the fight is done.
  • Never, ever give up until the fight is over. Sheer tenacity and continued effort by all members involved in a battle can sometimes save what looked to be a lost cause.
